Mark O Hatfield Clinical Research Center at the National Institutes of Health

Project requirements were to renovate an existing clinical laboratory for a new state of the art “Metabolic Chambers” facility that is the first of its kind in the Healthcare industry. The project required all new HVAC, plumbing and fire sprinkler. The project also required the a new state of the art DDC controls system (Johnson Controls) that would provide instantaneous systems interfacing with the medical chambers and all associated HVAC devices. The project required extensive systems commissioning with all vendors and the medical research staff. Kent Island Mechanical received a distinguished award from the General Contractor (Gilbane) for our outstanding performance and workmanship on the project.
